Police have initiated a murder inquiry following the death of a young woman in Leeds. Officers from West Yorkshire Police responded to Kennerleigh Avenue in the Austhorpe area at 05:55 GMT on Saturday after the woman was discovered unconscious on the street.
The woman was quickly transported to hospital, suffering serious injuries, but despite medical efforts, she was declared dead shortly afterwards. Subsequently, four individuals were arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of murder. The suspects include two 18-year-old women, a 20-year-old man, and a 17-year-old boy.
Detective Chief Superintendent Marc Bowes described the case as highly complex, noting the tragic loss of a young life. He expressed that, despite extensive investigations, the victim’s identity has not yet been confirmed. “We hope by releasing these details that someone will recognise who she is and come forward,” he said.
Authorities have provided a description of the victim, noting she was approximately 5ft 2ins (1.57m) tall, slender, with tanned skin. She is believed to be in her mid to late teens, with green eyes and brown hair featuring darker roots and blonde tips. Additionally, she wore fixed metal braces on both her upper and lower teeth.
