The biography asserts that Meghan was viewed as a “divisive agent” by Prince Charles and Catherine, Princess of Wales, who supposedly considered her a “threat.” Tensions between the Sussexes and the senior royals are described as having intensified before Harry and Meghan’s decision to leave the UK. They highlighted a statement made by Bower in which he reportedly said, “the monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,” calling this language telling. The couple’s representatives added, “He has made a career out of constructing ever more elaborate theories about people he does not know and has never met,” and added that those interested in truth would look elsewhere.
