A tragic incident occurred in West Yorkshire where a woman was found dead at a residence. Authorities responded to a call regarding concerns for a woman’s welfare at a home on Ken Churchill Drive in Horbury, near Wakefield. Upon arrival, police discovered the body, believed to be that of 37-year-old Carolann Barraclough.
Following the discovery, David Barraclough, a 45-year-old man living at the same address, was taken into custody. He has since been formally charged with her murder. He is set to appear before Leeds Magistrates Court on Monday, according to statements from West Yorkshire Police.
Detective Chief Inspector Stacey Atkinson addressed the community, acknowledging the potential distress caused by the incident. She reassured local residents by stating, “We recognise this incident will cause concern locally and I can advise residents we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the matter.”
