A father of two, Suhail Choudry, aged 35, passed away in hospital on 11 February, three days after being found injured in Flasby Street, Keighley. According to police reports, he was pursued and assaulted by a group of men armed with sticks and bats. This tragic event has led to multiple criminal charges as the investigation continues.
Recently, a fifth individual, Majid Hussain, 42, from Devonshire Street, Keighley, has been formally charged with murder. Alongside this primary charge, he also faces accusations of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and involvement in violent disorder. West Yorkshire Police have confirmed that Hussain was scheduled to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court on the following Monday.
The ongoing inquiry also led to the arrest of two additional people on Saturday: a 27-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman. Both are suspected of assisting an offender related to the case. Their detainment reflects the police’s continued efforts to thoroughly investigate all aspects connected to the attack.
Prior to these latest charges, four men from Keighley — Rashid Hussain, 41, Mohammed Aliyan Khan, 23, Hakeem Gulzar, 27, and Faisal Khan, 26 — were already charged with the same offenses of murder, possession of an offensive weapon in a public space, and violent disorder.
