Kaye Adams, a well-known radio presenter, will no longer be hosting her show on BBC Scotland. Last year, she was removed from the programme “Mornings With” on BBC Radio Scotland following an internal complaint concerning her conduct. At the time, Adams expressed frustration, saying her reputation had been unfairly damaged and that she had not been informed about the specific allegations made against her.
According to a report by The Times, some of the complaints lodged against Adams were upheld while others were dismissed. The BBC has chosen not to provide comments about individuals or internal procedures tied to the matter. Meanwhile, the broadcaster has confirmed that its radio presenter line-up on BBC Radio Scotland will stay consistent for the foreseeable future.
Connie McLaughlin has taken over presentation duties on “Mornings With” from Monday through Wednesday, whereas Stephen Jardine covers the show on Thursdays and Fridays. Adams, originally from Falkirk, brings nearly four decades of experience in journalism and broadcasting. She joined BBC Scotland in 2010 to present the daily phone-in programme “Call Kaye,” which aired until 2015. Outside of radio, Adams has appeared frequently as a panellist on the ITV talk show “Loose Women.”
A BBC Scotland spokesperson stated, “With regard to the presentation line up on Mornings With, Kaye Adams will not be returning to this role. In the immediate future Connie McLaughlin will continue to present Mornings With on Mondays to Wednesdays, with Stephen Jardine presenting on Thursdays and Fridays.” It is worth noting that last year, the BBC implemented its “Call it Out” initiative, designed to encourage staff to report and challenge inappropriate conduct within the workplace
