On the morning of his 66th birthday, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was taken into custody at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The former prince was escorted to a police station in Aylsham, where he was questioned on suspicion of misconduct in public office. Following this, Thames Valley Police confirmed that he was released pending further investigation.

The arrest occurred after Thames Valley Police revealed they were reviewing a complaint regarding the alleged dissemination of confidential information by Andrew to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has consistently denied any involvement or wrongdoing connected to Epstein. However, he has yet to comment on specific claims that surfaced following the public release of millions of Epstein’s files earlier this year.
