A 23-year-old British man tragically passed away nearly three weeks after being involved in a serious motorcycle accident on the island of Koh Samui in Thailand. Tiger Duggan, originally from Milton Keynes but living in Australia with his brother, was left in a coma following the crash on February 1st, which occurred during his birthday celebrations.
Tiger had been riding with a friend when he was knocked off his motorbike while attempting to overtake a car. Emergency responders spent approximately 16 minutes performing resuscitation efforts before he was taken to a local hospital on Koh Samui. Subsequently, he was transferred to MedPark Hospital in Bangkok to receive specialized medical care.
His family shared a heartfelt tribute highlighting Tiger’s charming and infectious smile, describing him as “our beautiful soft skinned, beautiful long eye lashed boy with a cheeky charming infectious smile that touched everyone’s hearts.” The outpouring of support from friends and family led to an online fundraiser that raised over £200,000 to help cover the costs associated with his treatment and support those close to him during this difficult time.
An update posted by those managing the fundraiser expressed gratitude for the widespread support, stating, “We want to thank everyone that has supported us in Tiger’s journey from prayers, messages and donations.” They also revealed that, following his passing, Tiger made a selfless gift by donating his organs, potentially saving three or four other lives. The family requested privacy as they cope with their profound loss, concluding, “We have had 19 days of living a nightmare, please now respect our peace and privacy.
