Ahead of its release, new images have emerged showcasing the cast of Sam Mendes’ upcoming four-part film series about The Beatles, presenting the actors fully transformed into the legendary band members. These photos give fans an initial glimpse of the carefully crafted costumes and styling used to bring the musicians to life on screen.
The images were shared in the form of postcards distributed at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. This venue holds special significance as it was co-founded by Paul McCartney and occupies the building that once housed the Liverpool Institute High School for Boys. Both McCartney and George Harrison attended this same school during their youth, making the location a meaningful backdrop for the promotional effort.
In the photographs, Paul Mescal embodies McCartney with a suit and hairstyle reminiscent of the band’s early days and is pictured in a setting resembling the iconic Cavern Club. Harris Dickinson’s portrayal of John Lennon features Lennon’s signature round “granny specs,” famously worn permanently after the 1967 film How I Won the War. Barry Keoghan takes on the role of Ringo Starr, sporting a distinctive pirate-style beard and a polka dot shirt, while Joseph Quinn’s version of George Harrison reflects the musician’s later look, complete with long hair and a beard.
The Liverpool Institute revealed that it discreetly placed these numbered, limited-edition postcards throughout its campus, inviting students to search for them. Mendes first announced the ambitious Beatles project, tentatively titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, in 2024, with all four installments slated for release in April 2028
