Steve Wright, a convicted serial killer from Suffolk, is facing new charges in connection with the death of a 17-year-old girl that occurred over 25 years ago. The victim, Victoria Hall, was found deceased five days after she was last seen following a night out in Felixstowe in September 1999. Wright, now 67 years old and already serving a whole life sentence, stands accused of her murder but denies involvement. A trial has been scheduled to determine the outcome.
During a hearing at the Old Bailey court in London, it was decided that the jury would be allowed to hear about Wright’s prior convictions. These relate to the 2006 murders of five women — Gemma Adams, Tania Nicol, Anneli Alderton, Paula Clennell, and Annette Nicholls — all of whom worked as prostitutes in the Ipswich area and whose deaths Wright was found guilty of.
