A woman has been provisionally scheduled for trial after being charged with the murder of an elderly woman on Christmas Day. Stefania Glowka, aged 63, stands accused of killing Tamara Glowka, who was in her eighties, at a flat on Keepers Road in Devizes, Wiltshire, on December 25th.
During a hearing at Bristol Crown Court on Wednesday, Stefania Glowka did not attend and has yet to enter a plea. Following the hearing, she was remanded in custody, with her next court appearance set for March 20, 2026. The trial is tentatively scheduled to commence on June 1.
Tamara Glowka was found dead at the scene by police officers who responded to reports of a serious assault at 08:10 GMT on Christmas morning. The victim’s identity has been publicly confirmed through court documents. Wiltshire Police confirmed that while an initial post-mortem examination has been completed, further tests are necessary to determine the cause of death, and formal identification is still pending.
