On Christmas Day, a 38-year-old man was discovered injured on a street in Glasgow and later died from his injuries. The incident took place around 23:40 on Napiershall Street, close to Great Western Road in the city’s West End. Emergency services were alerted and the man was transported to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead.
Following the event, both Napiershall Street and North Woodside Road were closed off as part of an ongoing police investigation. Officers remained on site throughout Boxing Day, maintaining a cordon to restrict public access in the area. This was done to preserve the scene while inquiries continued.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland noted that the investigation is progressing positively: “Officers are following a positive line of inquiry and there will be a continued police presence in the area.” The message also reassured residents, stating: “Anyone with any concerns can approach these officers.”
