Bangor: Two injured in County Down stabbing

Two individuals were hospitalized following a stabbing incident in Bangor, County Down. The event occurred on Christmas Eve at Chippendale Avenue. Among the victims, one person remains in critical condition. Authorities are currently seeking any information related to the case.

Separately, a violent attack took place outside a hotel on Lurgan Road in Banbridge around 8:30 pm GMT on Tuesday. During this incident, the victim was assaulted by multiple males who first threw a liquid substance into his face. As the victim tried to flee, he stumbled and was then repeatedly slashed across his back. The assailants subsequently fled the scene in a vehicle.

Police have described the attackers as men who had their faces covered. It is believed the vehicle they used in their escape was a black Toyota Avensis. Investigations are ongoing as law enforcement continues to gather evidence and appeal to the public for help in both cases.
