Simon Whyte, aged 55, has been identified by the Metropolitan Police as the man who was fatally shot in north-west London. The incident occurred on West End Close, Stonebridge, Brent, with police responding to reports of a shooting at 21:35 GMT on Friday. Despite the attempts by both officers and the London Ambulance Service to save him, Whyte was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following the shooting, the Metropolitan Police launched a murder investigation. At this stage, no arrests have been made. Detective Chief Inspector Neil John expressed his condolences to Whyte’s family and friends, emphasizing the challenging nature of the situation.
