Man arrested after two teens die in car crash with tree near Oxted

Authorities have confirmed the deaths of two teenage boys following a collision between a car and a tree. The incident occurred on Holland Road in the Hurst Green neighborhood of Oxted.

According to Surrey Police, officers responded to reports of a severe accident involving a white Tesla near the intersection with Popes Lane just before 10:00 p.m. on Saturday. A 30-year-old man from Oxted was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, as well as causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

One of the teenagers was pronounced dead at the crash site, while the other tragically passed away later at the hospital. A third teenage male remains hospitalized, suffering from life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Tesla was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

As the investigation unfolded on Sunday, Holland Road was closed between Popes Lane and Warren Lane to allow police to conduct their inquiries. Authorities have appealed to anyone who witnessed the crash or who might have dashcam footage to come forward and assist with the investigation
