Celebrity Race Across the World 2025 winners revealed

Roman Kemp, a broadcaster, alongside his sister Harleymoon, a singer-songwriter, emerged as the winners of the latest edition of the BBC’s Celebrity Race Across the World. The siblings completed a challenging 33-day, 3,600-mile journey through Central America, reaching the final checkpoint ahead of the other three competing pairs. Their victory was marked by a narrow lead, as they crossed the finish line just two minutes before EastEnders actress Molly Rainford and her fiancé Tyler West. Broadcaster Anita Rani and her father Bal arrived six hours later, while Derry Girls actor Dylan Llewellyn and his mother Jackie finished fourth, having decided to leave the race earlier due to financial constraints.

The concluding episode of the series focused on the final leg of the race, featuring a 1,000km trek from Medellín to Colombia’s Guajira Peninsula. Prior to this, contestants navigated various Central American countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Costa Rica, and Panama. Throughout the competition, participants traveled without the use of phones or air travel, adhering to a strict budget of £950 per person—the approximate cost of flying the same route. This third celebrity installment of the Race Across the World attracted a substantial audience, drawing around six million viewers.

Roman and Harleymoon Kemp hail from a notable family: their father is Martin Kemp of Spandau Ballet fame, and their mother is Shirlie. Roman is recognized for his work as a co-host on BBC One’s The One Show and as a former Capital FM breakfast show DJ. Meanwhile, Harleymoon has been pursuing a career in country music for five years. The siblings’ final stretch involved traveling by 4×4, boat, and running up a cliffside, which Roman described as “the most adrenaline, most emotion that I’ve had ever.” Harleymoon reflected on the experience, saying, “I’ve never run like that in my whole life.”

Molly Rainford, aged 25, is best known for playing Anna Knight on EastEnders since 2023 and for reaching the final of Strictly Come Dancing in 2022, where she met Tyler West, a Kiss radio host and fellow Strictly contestant. The couple announced their engagement earlier this year. Anita Rani, co-host of BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour and BBC One’s Countryfile, teamed up with her father, Balvinder Singh Nazran, a semi-retired businessman. Dylan Llewellyn, known for his role as James in the sitcom Derry Girls and appearances in Big Boys and Beyond Paradise, competed alongside his mother Jackie until their withdrawal due to budget limitations
