A doctor has been formally charged with multiple counts of sexual assault involving patients under his care, according to the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS). Nathaniel Spencer, aged 38 and residing in Quinton, Birmingham, faces serious allegations including 15 counts of sexual assault, 17 counts of assault by penetration, and nine counts of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13. Additional charges against him include three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration and one count of attempted assault by penetration.
These charges stem from a police investigation led by Staffordshire Police, which concentrated on offences committed against 38 different patients during the period from 2017 to 2021. The inquiry specifically looked into incidents reported at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke University Hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall Hospital located in Dudley.
Mr. Spencer is scheduled to make his first court appearance at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on January 20, 2026. The police and prosecution authorities are continuing to review the case, which has drawn significant attention due to the number of alleged victims and the serious nature of the accusations.
Further updates on this case are anticipated as the legal process progresses. Authorities have been actively communicating with the public about the developments, but details remain under close consideration at this stage
