'Twerking' police officer sacked for groping colleagues at party

A female officer from North Wales Police has been dismissed following inappropriate conduct at a social event. PC Pamela Pritchard, aged 29, was found to have groped two colleagues during a leaving party held at Caernarfon Rugby Club in March 2024. According to the findings, she touched a male colleague’s groin on two occasions, sat on his knee, and kissed him. Additionally, she was seen grabbing the breasts of a female officer after dancing suggestively and attempted to kiss a senior officer later that evening.

The misconduct hearing, which took place in Colwyn Bay, Conwy, confirmed all allegations against PC Pritchard and determined that her actions breached the police force’s code of conduct. Although she accepted that her behavior was inappropriate and caused embarrassment, she denied committing gross misconduct. PC Pritchard described feeling “mortified” after watching CCTV footage of her actions and admitted that she had limited recollection of the events due to intoxication.
