Irish television presenter Vogue Williams and Tom Read Wilson, known for his role as a receptionist on Celebs Go Dating, have been announced as the latest contestants joining the ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Their arrival on the show was disclosed during Wednesday night’s episode, with viewers set to see them enter the jungle camp in Thursday’s broadcast.
Williams described the opportunity to participate as a “massive life experience,” noting that she typically prefers to stay within the boundaries of her comfort zone. Despite this, she embraced the challenge, reflecting on how turning 40 made her reconsider her previous reluctance. “I always thought I wouldn’t do it, because I’ve gotten too comfortable in my life,” she explained, highlighting her enjoyment of creature comforts like regular sleep and good food. Williams also shared her concerns about being separated from her three children, acknowledging that the extended time away from them would be her biggest difficulty.
Tom Read Wilson expressed mixed emotions about joining the show. Initially, he felt “abject terror” at the prospect, but that quickly shifted to excitement. The 39-year-old recalled his personal rule about confronting fear: “If the only reason that you don’t want to do it is fear, you must do it, whatever it is.” Known for his linguistic skills and work greeting celebrities on Celebs Go Dating, he joked about his worries that his mental sharpness might suffer in the jungle environment, saying he feared his “grey cells won’t dance properly in camp.”
Both newcomers will join a group of established campmates who began the series on Sunday, including Martin Kemp, Ruby Wax, Jack Osbourne, and Kelly Brook. Williams is married to Spencer Matthews, formerly of Made In Chelsea, and she sees this experience as a significant step outside her usual routine.
