Liverpool Central Library is set to host a special event on Thursday, 20 November, as part of the Cheshire and Merseyside Baby Week 2025 celebrations. This annual initiative aims to bring various services together with the goal of promoting a strong foundation for early childhood, highlighting the importance of the early years, and helping to overcome obstacles in access to support. The theme for this year’s Baby Week is “Healthy parent, healthy baby.”
The event, which is free and runs throughout the day, is organized by Improving Me alongside the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Women’s Health and Maternity (WhaM) programme. It will be open both to healthcare professionals and the public, offering a chance to engage in a range of activities designed to inspire, inform, and connect attendees.
Those attending will have the opportunity to enjoy free family photography, connect with various health and advice services focused on women’s health and family wellbeing, as well as participate in family-friendly activities, view art exhibitions, and experience live musical performances.
Among the day’s notable events are the free baby photography session and advice services beginning at 11am, followed by the Singing Mamas performance at 11.30am. The LC Pop Choir, finalists from Britain’s Got Talent, will perform live twice, at 1.30pm and 3pm. At 2pm, the event will showcase the launch of “The Darker Side of Pink” exhibition. The day will conclude with a 5pm performance by the women-led group, the 51% class of 2025. While no booking is required for most activities, signing up is recommended for the 5pm session, which includes a free ticket and a hot drink. The event is scheduled to wrap up at 7pm
