A woman in Paisley experienced a terrible trauma after being raped in Brodie Park, according to police reports. The assault took place in the early hours, around 4:30 am, in the Renfrewshire town. Although the victim did not need hospital treatment, authorities described her state as “extremely frightened” following the incident.
The suspect has been identified as a white male, estimated to be in his early twenties, who spoke with a local accent. At the time of the attack, he was reportedly dressed in dark grey clothing. Police continue their efforts to locate the individual responsible for this serious crime.
Detective Inspector Nicky Beattie addressed the situation, saying, “This was a horrendous ordeal for the woman, and we are doing everything we can to trace the man responsible.” She also mentioned that investigators are carrying out extensive inquiries, with an increased police presence and visible patrols planned in the park over the coming week to reassure the community.
Authorities have asked anyone with information related to the case to come forward and speak with officers on site. Additionally, they have requested members of the public who might have relevant dashcam or private CCTV footage to contact the police to aid in the ongoing investigation
