Yungblud to break from tour until 2026 for health reasons

Rock musician Yungblud is set to pause his touring schedule until the end of the year following medical advice. The 28-year-old artist from Doncaster, who plans to bring the Idols World Tour to the UK next spring, had been scheduled to perform in the United States this month.

In a statement shared on social media, Yungblud revealed that although it is “in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground,” he has now been instructed to take his health seriously after concerns arose regarding his voice and results from blood tests. Expressing deep regret, he described his “heart is broken” and apologized to fans for the cancellation of shows in cities such as Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Washington.

The singer emphasized the importance of safeguarding his well-being for the long term, saying, “I don’t want to do any lasting damage to myself, we are on a journey that I want to last forever.” Acknowledging that some fans might feel let down, he reassured them: “I just want you to know that this is so hard for me to do but I promise I will make it up to you.” He also expressed gratitude for the support he has received, stating, “I never take anyone’s love, support or energy for granted. You know you are everything to me. But I need this time.”

Known professionally as Dominic Harrison, Yungblud has been actively promoting his album Idols, which was released in June. His efforts have earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Album and a nod for Best Rock Song for the single “Zombie.” Additionally, his performance of “Changes” at Black Sabbath’s Back To The Beginning farewell concert, held shortly before Ozzy Osbourne’s passing, garnered its own nomination. Yungblud, recognized for tracks like “I Think I’m Okay” featuring Machine Gun Kelly and “Fleabag,” also founded BludFest, a festival notable for offering more affordable tickets than many other UK music events. With three UK number one albums to his name—Weird! (2020), Yungblud (2022), and Idols—he also received the Disruptor of the Year award at the Nordoff and Robbins Northern Music Awards in Liverpool earlier this year
