Neil Foden: Parent told of 'files and files' of complaints about head teacher

A concerned parent revealed that they raised alarms about Neil Foden’s behavior a decade ago, prior to the pedophile head teacher being sentenced. The parent, who wished to remain anonymous, recounted being informed by a council official in 2009 that numerous complaints had been lodged against Foden long before he was taken into custody. This revelation came after her son was expelled from Ysgol Friars in Bangor.

Parents, students, and faculty members have recounted Foden’s reign of terror at the institution, citing instances of staff bullying and families feeling intimidated. Cyngor Gwynedd council stated that they are committed to implementing all recommendations and findings outlined in a report concerning Foden’s misconduct.

A recent Child Practice Review (CPR) disclosed 50 instances where opportunities were missed to prevent Foden, a resident of Conwy county, from committing heinous crimes that led to his 17-year prison sentence. A review conducted by the North Wales Safeguarding Board detailed Foden’s extensive history of sexual offenses against numerous children.

Multiple mothers have spoken out anonymously, detailing their encounters with Foden’s alarming behavior. One parent recounted how her daughter was subjected to severe reprimand after posting critical remarks regarding the school’s pastoral care on social media.
