Lines show the average voting intention for political parties in opinion polls conducted in 2025. As of 29 October Reform’s average is 30%, Labour and the Conservatives have fallen below 20%

But now, with Reform-led councils facing the same budget pressures and financial challenges that others have struggled to meet, and without the financial miracle they had hoped for, the party could be about to face the kind of test that public opinion polls can’t fix.

It is a major challenge – and the public might well be watching very closely.
