Legal team in Sheku Bayoh death inquiry resigns

The legal team overseeing the Sheku Bayoh Inquiry has stepped down following the recent resignation of the chairperson. Senior counsel Angela Graham KC, Laura Thomson KC, and Jason Beer KC have been leading the questioning during the hearings into Mr. Bayoh’s death. Tragically, he lost consciousness and later passed away in the hospital. The inquiry into the events leading up to and following his death has incurred significant costs, amounting to £26.2 million, with additional expenses totaling £24.3 million from Police Scotland, including substantial legal fees
