A 26-year-old man who arrived in the UK on a small boat and issued a death threat to Nigel Farage has been sentenced to five years in prison. Fayaz Khan, originally believed to have provided a false name, displayed a gun gesture, pointed to an AK-47 tattoo on his face, and mentioned the Reform UK leader in a TikTok video posted in October 2024. The Southwark Crown Court disclosed that authorities discovered the Afghan migrant’s true identity to be 31-year-old Fayaz Husseini.
Nigel Farage expressed his concern over the threat, describing it as “pretty chilling” due to Khan’s apparent close association with firearms. In the video shared by Khan, he referenced his facial tattoo and indicated his intention to harm the MP for Clacton, referring to him as “Englishman Nigel.” Mrs Justice Steyn, the presiding judge, highlighted the seriousness of the threat made by Khan, emphasizing that it was not mere abuse but a direct threat to kill involving a firearm.
