Osbournes visit Sunnyfield Farm's Ozzy pumpkin mural tribute

A mesmerizing mural of rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, crafted from over 10,000 pumpkins and squashes, was visited by his family at Sunnyfields Farm in Totton, Hampshire. Sharon, Jack, and Kelly Osbourne surprised onlookers at the farm where the artwork has been showcased since October 4th. The former Black Sabbath frontman, who passed away on July 22nd after battling Parkinson’s disease, was commemorated in this unique way.

During their visit, the Osbourne family were given a personalized tour by farm owners Tom and Ian Nelson. Sharon and Jack even took a thrilling ride on a cherry picker to admire the mural from a bird’s eye view. Kelly’s fiance, Sid Wilson, and their son, Sidney, joined in on the visit to witness the impressive pumpkin creation.

Tom Nelson, one of the farm owners, revealed that the theme for this year’s pumpkin display was decided by public vote, with an overwhelming majority choosing Ozzy Osbourne as the subject. This tradition of involving the public in theme selection has been a hit, with 70% of voters opting for the Prince of Darkness this year. The farm has been showcasing pyramid displays like this for the past decade and even secured a spot in the record books in 2023 for creating the largest mosaic made of cucurbits.

The intricate artwork, which took a team of 16 individuals over four-and-a-half hours to complete, will be open for public viewing until the end of the month. Sunnyfields Farm continues to dazzle visitors with its creative and elaborate pumpkin displays, attracting fans of Osbourne and Halloween enthusiasts alike to witness this seasonal spectacle
