Emergency services responded to the scene around 07:30 BST following a call to the home on Corporation Street. The two children were tragically pronounced dead upon arrival. Det Insp Kirsty Oldfield expressed the police’s commitment to understanding the events leading up to the children’s deaths, urging the public not to speculate during this sensitive time.
Det Insp Oldfield also mentioned that the family and friends of the deceased children should not be subjected to further distress caused by unfounded speculations. The West Midlands Ambulance service called the police to the home where the children were found, prompting the investigation that is currently underway.
