Keir Starmer praises Donald Trump over role in Gaza ceasefire deal

Political reporter Sam Francis and Political editor Chris Mason have documented Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer’s commendation of US President Donald Trump’s role in the Gaza peace negotiations, asserting that the agreement could not have been reached without his intervention. Additionally, he dismissed speculations about former Prime Minister Sir Tony Blair’s potential participation in the envisioned “Board of Peace,” emphasizing the importance of focusing on executing the agreement.

Following the announcement of the deal, Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper hurried to Paris to participate in discussions led by French President Emmanuel Macron concerning the subsequent phase of the proposed peace plan. Cooper, along with her German counterpart, traveled from Northern Ireland to attend the meeting which also included representatives from various countries such as Spain, Egypt, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan. The significance of the agreement was underscored by people in Israel and Palestine celebrating the news, with individuals in Tel-Aviv’s Hostage Square waving US flags and commemorating the breakthrough
