Men who murdered e-bike riders in Sunbury jailed for life

In Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey, two individuals have been handed life sentences for the murder of two e-bike riders whom they wrongly believed to be burglars. The tragic incident took place when Alex Rose, 30, purposefully drove his black pick-up truck into William Birchard and Darren George as he drove in the opposite direction down a motorway slip road. Rose, accompanied by passenger Charles Pardoe, engaged in a high-speed chase at 60mph after suspecting the victims of attempting to break into his residence. However, it was revealed during the trial at Guildford Crown Court that Mr. Birchard (21) and Mr. George (22) had no connection to Rose’s home and were simply en route to a pub in Ashford.
