Shooting Incident at Birmingham Nightclub Leads to Arrests
In a disturbing turn of events, a shooting at the Mango nightclub in Birmingham has left four people injured, with one man in critical condition. The incident took place at around 3:00 BST, prompting emergency services to respond to the scene. Three men and a woman were treated for injuries following the shooting.
Following swift action by the authorities, three suspects in their 20s and 30s have been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder in connection with the shooting. The arrests were made on the M6 in Warwickshire shortly after the incident. West Midlands Police have confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody as the investigation unfolds.
As investigations continue, Bristol Street, a major route into the city centre, has been cordoned off by police. The road closure, which spans from the Pagoda Island to Bromsgrove Street, is expected to remain in place for an extended period. Acting Ch Insp Michael Clarke has urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward and assist the authorities in their inquiries.
“This incident occurred in a busy nightclub, situated on a key thoroughfare out of Birmingham. We urge anyone who witnessed the events unfold or may have captured the incident on dashcam footage to get in touch with West Midlands Police,” Clarke emphasized.
