An individual has been accused in relation to a series of assaults on synagogues in north-west London. Ionut-Cristian Bold, aged 37 and of no fixed address, faces six charges of racially or religiously aggravated criminal damage, along with one count of racially or religiously aggravated harassment without violence. Furthermore, there were additional incidents described by the police as “revolting and appalling”, where liquid was thrown towards a school and onto a car. It has been reported that the substance and liquid used were bodily fluids. Mr. Bold has also been accused of three charges of destroying or damaging property, as well as one count of possessing an article with intent to destroy or damage property. He is currently in custody and is expected to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

Superintendent Zubin Writer, who oversees local policing in Barnet, Brent, and Harrow, emphasized the seriousness with which such allegations are treated. He stated, “We will always treat allegations of this nature extremely seriously and these charges follow an investigation by a team of local officers. We continue to offer support to local residents, including members of the Jewish community.” The community is being reassured of ongoing police efforts to address the situation and provide assistance where needed
