The gang’s activities involved disguising the drugs as innocent items like Yankee Candles to avoid detection. Khawar’s second in command, Mohammed Nural Hussain, played a pivotal role in the organization by overseeing the logistics and ensuring smooth operations.
Various gang members received significant jail sentences for their involvement in the drug smuggling activities. Individuals like Soloman Bertram, Steven Munroe, and Kyle Solowyk were apprehended with intercepted drug packages, leading to their imprisonment for a length of time. The court revealed the intricate web of connections within the gang, with Sophie Jones recruiting her relatives like Keiran Jones into the illegal activities. While some members claimed ignorance or addiction as motives, the authorities cracked down on the entire syndicate, bringing them to justice for their criminal deeds.
