Liverpool’s City Halls have revealed an exciting festive lineup spread across three iconic locations this holiday season. The historic venues of Liverpool Town Hall, St George’s Hall, and Croxteth Hall will be alive with the spirit of the season, offering a wide array of events suitable for families, music enthusiasts, and even furry friends.
At Liverpool Town Hall, guests can partake in the enchanting experience of Story Time with Santa, where Father Christmas and Buddy the Elf will share heartwarming tales and songs in the charming setting of the historic building. Additionally, a sensory-friendly session will be available for those who require it. Story Time with Santa will run on selected dates from Saturday 6 to Wednesday 24 December. Candlelight Concerts will also take place at Liverpool Town Hall in November and December, providing a sophisticated evening of seasonal music in a setting rich with heritage.
Over at St George’s Hall, a Christmas market will be set up on Sunday 5 October and Sunday 2 November, transforming the indoor space into a bustling festive marketplace with over 80 independent vendors and local artisans offering a delightful selection of art, crafts, homeware, and unique gifts from 10am to 4.30pm. Following the success of last year, the Great Hall will once again be the stage for Carols by Lantern Light on Wednesday 3 and Wednesday 10 December, featuring Professor Ian Tracey, soloist Danielle Thomas, and a classical choir bringing the timeless tunes of Christmas to life under the gentle glow of lantern light.
For those looking for a different kind of festive entertainment, Croxteth Hall will be hosting Santa Paws, an event designed for dogs and their owners to enjoy. Set in a specially created grotto, pets can meet Santa Paws, receive gifts and treats, and have their photo taken with a seasonal backdrop. Santa Paws will run on selected dates from Saturday 13 to Sunday 21 December, with both bookable slots and walk-ins welcome.
