Twinbrook: Man in court after west Belfast stabbing

A man in his 30s, named Shane Lowry, tragically lost his life in a stabbing incident in west Belfast, leading to a 32-year-old man being charged with murder. The accused, Martin Lowry, appeared in Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Saturday to face charges of murder and possession of a blade or point. Shane Lowry’s life came to a sudden end following the incident that occurred in Mulberry Park in Twinbrook.

Martin Lowry, who was described as having no fixed abode, wore a grey tracksuit during the court appearance and only spoke to confirm his name and date of birth.
