William and Kate set to move to new Berkshire home

The Prince and Princess of Wales are preparing to relocate to a new residence in Berkshire. William and Catherine, along with their children George, Charlotte, and Louis, will be moving to Forest Lodge in Windsor Great Park, an eight-bedroom property. Their current primary home, Adelaide Cottage, is just a short distance away, and their children currently attend Lambrook School nearby. A spokesperson from Kensington Palace has confirmed that the Wales family will be moving later this year.

Having previously announced their move from Kensington Palace to their current four-bedroom residence, Adelaide Cottage, in August 2022, the royal couple also own properties at Anmer Hall in Norfolk and Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace. Forest Lodge, where they are soon to reside, underwent significant £1.5m restoration work in 2001 and was subsequently put on the rental market for £15,000 a month. Inside the home, original stonework, intricate plaster cornices, ceiling decorations, and a half-barrel vaulted hallway ceiling were showcased in images taken at the time.

Recent planning applications submitted to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead have resulted in approval for minor internal and external alterations at Forest Lodge. The council’s decision notice specifically mentions the removal of a window and modifications to a fireplace. The upcoming move signals another chapter in the lives of the Prince and Princess of Wales as they continue to navigate their royal responsibilities alongside their growing family
