It is considered a criminal offense to offer backing to Palestine Action, with the possibility of facing up to 14 years in jail for being a member or expressing support for the group.

Commander Dominic Murphy, who leads the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command, remarked on the recent arrests, stating that case files for the other 26 individuals apprehended on the same day will also be forwarded to the Crown Prosecution Service.

The High Court decision on July 30 mandated a review of the proscription of the group, adding another layer of complexity to the situation
