Adequate aid, including food supplies, was provided to customers in the worst-hit areas.

In response to the significant disruption caused by the storm, the Scottish government held an emergency meeting on Monday night. Justice Secretary Angela Constance acknowledged the challenges faced by a considerable number of properties due to power cuts and emphasized that the recovery process would be time-consuming. The Met Office has issued warnings of another bout of unseasonable wet and windy weather expected on Thursday for north-western parts of the UK, urging residents to stay prepared. Network Rail also reported multiple incidents of trees falling on overhead lines during the storm, indicating the scale of damage caused by Storm Floris
