In response to calls for a lorry park at the Sevington Inland Border Facility, the Department for Transport acknowledged the impact of Operation Brock on residents and committed to working with partners to improve safety, reduce local impacts, and develop long-term traffic management strategies. The spokesperson mentioned the possibility of utilizing technology and off-road sites for holding HGVs during disruptions on the short straits, indicating a willingness to explore alternative solutions to alleviate the traffic issues in Dover
