Authorities have intervened to halt an illegal rave held at a forestry site in Ceredigion. Dyfed-Powys Police disclosed that their officers responded to a “large gathering” in the early hours of Sunday, August 3rd. The unauthorized event occurred at Cefn Croes wind farm in Myherin forest, near Devil’s Bridge, as reported by Natural Resources Wales (NRW), who cautioned individuals to steer clear of the area. Ch Insp Steve Thomas emphasized that unlicensed music events have the potential to cause “significant disruption” and raise concerns regarding safety.

Upon arrival, law enforcement found the event to be in full swing, as per Dyfed-Powys Police. A spokesperson mentioned, “A number of people and vehicles remained in the area during the day, closely monitored by officers, however most attendees had left the area by late afternoon on Sunday.” Although the majority had dispersed, a “small number” of individuals remained on site. Ch Insp Thomas reassured the local communities that appropriate measures were taken to address the situation, with a commitment to thoroughly investigate any criminal activities discovered.
