Throughout the week, temperatures are expected to climb with most of England and Wales experiencing sunny conditions and temperatures ranging from 25-28C (77-82F) in the Midlands and south-east England on Wednesday. By the end of the week, high temperatures will persist, with northern Scotland expected to reach 29C (84F) and Northern Ireland likely to see temperatures around 26C (79F) on Saturday.
Yellow heat health alerts have been issued for various regions in England, starting from Wednesday and extending until 15 July, due to the high temperatures.
