Following Vlad’s passing and the death of a 21-year-old woman from Southampton, the government pledged to tighten laws regulating online drug purchases that could be used for self-harm.

Recent developments have seen a 29-year-old woman from Merton, London, arrested in connection with Vlad’s death. She was taken into custody on suspicion of intentionally engaging in actions that could encourage or assist another person’s suicide.
