A man from Bloxwich, Daniel Clarke, has been sentenced to a seven-year and six-month jail term after pleading guilty to sexual offenses against six vulnerable children. The sentencing occurred at Wolverhampton Crown Court, and Clarke’s identity was previously withheld from the public, but it can now be revealed. West Midlands Police is conducting a major investigation to determine if Clarke may have abused more than 81 children with special educational needs and disabilities, making him potentially one of the most prolific sex offenders in recent times.
The court heard distressing details about Clarke’s actions, including how he abused his position of trust as a teaching assistant and personal assistant against particularly vulnerable children with additional needs and disabilities.
