A tragic incident at the Bryn Gloch caravan and campsite in Betws Garmon near Caernarfon has resulted in the death of a one-year-old girl, as confirmed by an inquest. The young girl, identified as Mabel Elizabeth Baldini, passed away in hospital following the accident. The emergency services were called to the family-run campsite in the Eryri National Park where the child was airlifted to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.
The senior coroner for North Wales West, Kate Robertson, formally opened the inquest into the tragic death of the young girl. According to the coroner, the cause of death was determined to be a severe head injury. Expressing her condolences, she extended sympathies to the family and friends of the deceased. North Wales Police received a 999 call around 10:20 BST on Monday, prompting a response from Wales Air Ambulance and an emergency medical team.
Despite efforts to save the child, she tragically succumbed to her injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. As the investigation continues, the inquest has been adjourned.
