The community of Aberdeenshire is mourning the loss of a beloved grandfather who tragically died in a car crash near Huntly. Keith Looseley, 78, was involved in a collision between his black Skoda Kamiq and a white Iveco truck on the A96 Aberdeen to Elgin road. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, and Mr. Looseley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Described as a “devoted and much-loved father, grandfather, brother, and son,” Keith Looseley was a former RAF pilot who had been a resident of Gartly, Aberdeenshire, for more than 25 years. He was actively involved in the local community, volunteering with Gordon Rural Action and the Morayvia aviation museum. His family expressed deep gratitude to the public for their assistance after the crash and praised the efforts of the police officers and paramedics who responded to the scene.
