Father of 14-year-old Morecambe boy killed in M6 crash charged

The young boy lost his life on 20 April when the Peugeot van he was a passenger in veered off the road between junctions 34 and 33 southbound, ultimately colliding with a tree. The driver of the van, Daniel Burba, who also happened to be the father of the young victim, sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized. Fortunately, he has since been discharged.

In a surprising turn of events, Daniel Burba has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, as well as driving without a license and insurance, confirmed by Lancashire Police. The 31-year-old, from Arnside Crescent, Morecambe, has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court at 10:00 BST on Monday.
