After a heated confrontation at St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Comprehensive in Aberavon, Neath Port Talbot, a head teacher has been sentenced to two years and four months in prison for assaulting his deputy with a wrench. The incident occurred on March 5th, when 54-year-old Anthony Felton attacked 51-year-old Richard Pyke following a love triangle dispute.
Felton confessed to attempting grievous bodily harm with intent during the altercation. The court was informed that Felton was emotionally distressed upon learning that he was the biological father of a colleague’s child. To add to the tension, he also discovered that Mr Pyke was romantically involved with the same colleague. This revelation likely fueled Felton’s violent outburst.
As a result of the altercation, Mr Pyke sustained minor injuries and had to receive medical attention at a hospital.
