Jonathan Anderson, originally from Magherafelt, County Londonderry, has recently been appointed as the new creative director of Dior’s menswear line. The announcement was made via a post on Anderson’s Instagram, featuring the iconic Dior label accompanied by a four-leaf clover symbolizing good luck.
Following the departure of English designer Kim Jones earlier this year, speculation arose regarding who would take over the role at Dior. Anderson’s confirmation came with news that he is already working on the upcoming Dior Homme summer 2026 collection, set to be unveiled in Paris on 27 June.
Having received the prestigious Designer of the Year award at the 2024 Fashion Awards for two consecutive years, Anderson’s fashion career has been marked by success. Trained at the London College of Fashion, he initially worked in Prada’s marketing department before launching his own label in 2008. In 2013, Anderson was appointed as the creative director of Loewe, solidifying his reputation as a prominent figure in the fashion industry.
