Whitney Adebayo: Sidemen's Inside star shares 'evil' racist abuse received online

Whitney Adebayo, a former star of Love Island, has come forward to reveal the “evil” racist abuse she has endured following her appearance on the Sidemen’s reality show, Inside. Adebayo took to Instagram to share screenshots of offensive messages she received from individuals who had watched the show, which is produced by the popular UK YouTube group led by KSI. She expressed a mix of positive and negative reactions to her appearance but emphasized the prevalence of racism in the responses she received.

The reality TV competition, Inside, features 10 influencers and celebrities competing in challenges to win a £1m prize fund, with all expenses deducted from the total. Adebayo participated in the second series alongside other notable figures like TikTok star Milli Jo McLoughlin, podcaster Mandi Vakili, and rapper DDG, as well as former footballer Patrice Evra. Addressing the hurtful and unjust treatment she faced, Adebayo highlighted the deep-seated racism still present in British culture. She shared that the derogatory messages, death threats, and unfair treatment were not only personally painful but also reflective of broader societal attitudes towards women who do not conform to traditional standards. Despite the challenges, Adebayo expressed gratitude to her supporters and a determination to remain true to herself, emphasizing that the negativity she receives only strengthens her resolve.

As Adebayo acknowledged the end of her journey on Inside, she thanked those who stood by her and dismissed the hate as a motivator for personal growth and authenticity. Her partner, Lochan Nowacki, also voiced his support for her online, condemning the abuse she faced and praising her kind-hearted nature. Adebayo’s public revelation sheds light on the pervasive issue of racism and discrimination in society, particularly towards individuals in the public eye who do not conform to narrow expectations
