A new suspect has been apprehended in connection with the fatal shooting of a 40-year-old woman at a block of flats in Talbot Green, Rhondda Cynon Taf. Joanne Penney passed away as a result of the incident that occurred at Green Park on March 9th. This individual, identified as Jordan Mills-Smith, 32, hailing from Pentwyn, Cardiff, has been charged with murder, according to a statement released by the South Wales Police.
Jordan Mills-Smith was taken into custody on Friday evening in the Suffolk area and is scheduled to appear at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court on Monday. South Wales Police confirmed late Sunday that he is the sixth person to be charged in connection with Joanne Penney’s tragic death. Four other individuals have already faced murder charges, while a fifth person was charged with aiding an offender.
Detective Chief Superintendent Ceri Hughes, in a statement, expressed that the investigative team is diligently working to uncover the circumstances surrounding Joanne’s untimely passing. She emphasized the importance of anyone possessing pertinent information to step forward and assist in the investigation.
