Aphex Twin has collaborated with streetwear brand Supreme, curating an original playlist for the brand after working together on a collection of clothing. The playlist, titled ‘Aphex Twin: [mostly mellow] for Supreme’, was revealed on March 11 and consists mostly of chilled, low-tempo tracks. Artists featured on the playlist include Azymuth, Burial, Tangerine Dream, Squarepusher, Brian Eno, Ragga Twins, Actress, Kraftwerk, Run-DMC, Andy Stott, and Salamanda, among others.
One notable track on the playlist is ‘XMAS_EVET1N’ by Aphex Twin, which was released in 2014 and was part of his album ‘MARCHROMT30a Edit 2b 96’ released by Warp in 2015. Supreme recently unveiled its full collaboration collection with Aphex Twin, which includes items such as a GORE-TEX jacket, football jerseys, knitted jumpers, gloves, shorts, and more. Additionally, a previously teased T-shirt featuring the artwork for Aphex Twin’s 1999 track ‘Windowlicker’ was also revealed, with a message from the artist that reads: “Supreme – Come on you cunts, let’s have some Aphex acid.”
The collaboration between Aphex Twin and Supreme is part of the streetwear brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which became available for purchase on March 6. The collection features original album artwork as well as music video artwork by Chris Cunningham, and includes four skateboards, three sold as a set, and one sold individually. The playlist ‘[mostly mellow]’ curated by Aphex Twin is available to stream on both YouTube and Spotify.
